You are the board members of the new Vanguard Fund, a charitable foundation which seeks to make a positive impact. As your organisation deliberates on its strategy, it must decide on an organisation to support. How will you decide on what impact matters the most? Can you and your peers achieve a consensus on how we should aid others?
Briefing (10 mins): You will receive a briefing from the game’s Moderator, containing these instructions and a list of the organisations your the Fund is considering donating to. Take this time to read the list and gather your thoughts.
Pre-Discussion Vote: You will receive a link to vote for which organisation you personally support.
Discussion (20 mins): At this point, we will have a moderated discussion between participants to answer the question of which organisation we should collectively support.
Post-Discussion Vote: You will receive a link to vote for which organisation you support after the discussion. The organisation which receives a plurality of votes will be supported.
Debrief (5 mins): The outcome of both votes are revealed, and a post-game feedback and discussion will be held.
